Hello there bloggies! Welcome to Wishful Wednesday!
The last few weeks I feel like I have been running around like a crazy person.
It is all standard stuff, and we all are busy. But this time of year is just a busy busy time Research is insane as I try to pull together and draft a manuscript for my major project. I’ve queried and continue to query The Collective (check out a sample here!). I’ve also been editing and editing Deluded (check out a longer sample of that here!). Add that to standard fitness, family, friends, and life things. It’s been fun trying to keep all the balls in the air.
This past weekend I had a great time visiting good friends in Connecticut (and the new baby of two of them!). But, of course, that put sleep on the backburner. With the start of the workweek, I quickly picked up a cold after pushing myself a bit too hard these past weeks.
With that being said, I think I need to take some time to let my mind rest some. Specifically, I need to let myself enjoy books, TV, and movies more. Not only will they let my mind recoup some from the tasking efforts from research, writing, and blogging. But, they will help improve my writing and story telling skills. Seeing how others frame their stories and thoughts will be invaluable, as I keep moving forward with this writing business.
Not only that but I miss carving out time to get lost in a story or a ridiculous TV show. I hear season 3 of Rita (amazing Danish show) or a new cozy book calling to me!
Thanks for stopping by Wishful Wednesday! Any recommendations of books, shows, or movies to get lost in? Let me know in the comments below!
