Now, I’ve got a little confession to make. Along with my break from the blog, I may have taken a little break from the fitness regime. My allergies were killing me and zapping me of every ounce of energy. I would get home from work and try to convince myself that maybe moving my body was a good idea. But, it was to no avail. I stayed sitting.
This happens to all of us. At least with me, it comes in waves: a couple months of fantastic fitness followed by some weeks of laziness. This cycle has been going on for a few years since I’ve starting taking fitness a bit more seriously.
It can be a bit frustrating, but I am starting to accept it more. My body and more my mind need a little break from exercising on the regular. A week or two just to gear up for hitting the next work out hard.
Fortunately when I hit a bit of a plateau in the exercise department, I don’t lose my mind too much on the nutrition front. I keep my meals filled with lean proteins, veggies, and fruits just like I do when I am working out. So, while I may drop a bit in my fitness level, I don’t immediately balloon.
So, now I am easing myself back into the workout routine. It takes a week or two to regain some of my confidence in my fitness level, but it’ll be fun to jump back into the routine.
