Hello there bloggies! Welcome to Fitness Fridays!
As you all know, I am writing this set of blog posts before my trip. I am currently sitting in my apartment procrastinating from my packing duties. To be honest, my brain is already in vacation mode. It has turned off. No more ideas coming from there.
So, on this Fitness Friday, I want to briefly go through some of my fitness hopes during my Scandinavian adventure:
1) I want to walk, walk, and walk some more. European cities are far more compact than American cities. In my crazy view, you can pretty much walk everywhere in these cities, and I tend to try to as long as the weather is somewhat cooperative. Not only is it a great way to stay active, but it is a great way to explore the city. You see places you would never see unless you were walking about. I want to be on my feet and walking while on my trip!
2) The friend I’m travelling with is in the middle of training for the New York City marathon. That training will not be put on pause because of our trip. She will be running most of the days we’ll be over there. I’m hoping to join her for these runs. There are some stunning running routes through Stockholm and Copenhagen, which I hope to take advantage of.
3) I want to keep my indulgences in moderation. Yes, I will be eating wienerbrød (Danish pastries…so ridiculously delicious, particularly in Denmark) and pølse (sausage). But, I want to balance it out with healthier options filled with fruits and veggies.
