Hello there bloggies! Welcome to this week’s (short-ish) Wishful Wednesday!

A goal of mine this year has been to release some control over things in my life and not overly plan each day. Well, the other day was just that! My brother texted me Friday night saying that he wanted to do something this weekend in Boston. I was supposed to have been out of town, but some car issues had kept me in Massachusetts.

But since my plans were ruined, I blinded agreed to head into town. The next day an hour or so before we headed into town, my brother texted me saying to me at the train station, and I was off. There was no real plan. I wasn’t sure who would be coming, how long I would in town, or anything.

It ended up being such an awesome day. Our first stop was one of my favorite places on earth, Flour. For those of you not from the Boston area, Flour is one of the most fantastic bakeries/cafes in Boston. You can get fantastic breakfast food (the egg sandwich is unreal), sandwiches, soups, pastries (brioche treats!), sweets, and beverages (the raspberry seltzer is so good). I’ve included a picture for your viewing pleasure. If you are in Boston, check out one of their locations! Also, the Flour cookbooks (there are 3 of them) now are great resources and written in an extremely clear and detailed manner.

After indulging in cookies and a sticky bun, we decided to walk over to another one of my favorite places in South Boston, the Harpoon Brewery Beer Hall. The Beer Hall is huge bar at the Harpoon Brewery with fantastic beers and the best pretzels I’ve ever had in my life. It is a great place to have a drink and catch up with friends and family. We eventually made our way to dinner and another bar in the area before heading back home. It was exactly what I needed to unwind during a crazy busy time of year.

Thank you all for stopping by this quite short Wishful Wednesday. See you all on Fitness Friday because I will surely need to work out to balance out these calories from Flour and Harpoon!!
