An important aspect of fitness, and sometimes the hardest part, is nutrition. I like to start my day with a nice breakfast shake, and I wanted to share it here.

Here is what you will need:

Chocolate protein powder (I use Shakeology from Team Beachbody)




Greek Yogurt


The only instructions are to put everything in the blender and then blend. My favorite part about this shake is that you can mess with the amounts of each ingredient depending on how you are feeling that day. The key for me is to add enough spinach to counteract the sweetness of the berries. The yogurt adds a nice consistency. I use Shakeology chocolate powder, but that is just personal preference. Any powder you like should be suitable (I just love Shakeology). I do prefer adding both ice and water to the blender to make it a bit colder and thicker. Most weekday mornings though, I only use water. I feel bad blending ice so early in the morning.

This shake fills me up (lots of protein) and gives me so much energy in the morning. Plus, I get most of my daily vitamins and nutrients straight away in the morning. Starting off on the right foot also motivates me to stick to my nutritional plan for the rest of the day.
